Selecting and roasting your beans
At Darlington's we can work with you to determine what kind of blend suits you best, taking into consideration concerns such as taste profile and ethical certification.
We have our own fantastic and constantly evolving house range (see ‘Darlington's House Blends’ to the right), however if our own range of coffees does not fit the bill then we can arrange for the production of a bespoke blend (see ‘Bespoke Roasting').
Whatever the blend, using the latest Italian drum roasting machines, we slow roast our espresso coffees to capture the aromas and subtle flavour nuances of the beans.
Roasting each batch of green coffee takes between 14 and 17 minutes depending on the desired colour. The batch is then air cooled before being carefully taste tested under controlled conditions to guarantee optimum results.
